Welcome to 4 Year Old Kindergarten!  Kindergarten is a time when children begin a lifetime of learning.  It is a year for learning, growing, making friends, and a lot of fun, too!  Our days are filled with play, stories, letters, phonics, numbers, writing, and many other activities and memories.  What a pleasure it will be to have your child in my classroom!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you.  My name is Kelly Bargenquast or to my students Mrs. BQ, and I will be your child’s teacher this school year.  To let you know a little bit more about me, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin—Madison with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  I have a range of experience teaching children: including teaching 4K, 1st grade, reading, substitute teaching, as well as teaching summer school.  I love being a part of the Lake Mills Area School District and have made Lake Mills my home where I live with my husband, 2 boys, and big goofy dog.

I look forward to a year of fun and learning with your child!  I hope together we can make this a wonderful, positive experience. I am eager to get off to a great start and am very excited about all the learning and fun that will happen this year!
