Current 2017-2018 capacity and utilization numbers are being shared at the Spring 2018 Master Planning Focus Groups. Please consider attending one of the following:

In 2015, the District conducted a facilities study to evaluate the building systems, site and building capacity, and space utilization.

The District also commissioned a community growth and projections study to better understand the impact of future development on enrollment. With this new understanding of the current state of all buildings, as well as projected development in the community, the District began Master Planning. 

The 2015 outcome was a comprehensive, long-term plan for the District which factored in facility conditions, educational adequacy, and enrollment projections.

Community Survey Now Open

**The Community Survey closed on June 18, 2018

The community-wide facilities survey is now open! The purpose of the survey is to get input from parents, staff and citizens on potential projects at Lake Mills High School. You can take the survey online with the unique code provided, or fill it out and mail in the postage-paid returned envelope. The survey will be open until June 18. We appreciate your participation!

 

Why is the district conducting a survey?

In 2015, the District began long-range Facilities Master Planning to evaluate their facilities and study future enrollment projections. Needs will be addressed in phases, with the most immediate needs at Lake Mills High School. The first phase of the Facilities Master Plan proposes adding academic space at the high school to accommodate upcoming larger class sizes and renovate other areas of the building. Input from parents, staff and citizens on the survey is an important part of the plan development.

 

What is on the survey?

  • Expanding and Updating High School Classrooms and Labs
  • Updating Indoor and Outdoor Athletic Spaces

Community Survey Results 

  • The Community Survey was conducted in late May through mid-June of 2018

  • Residents within the District were mailed a paper survey. Each survey included a unique survey access code for those who preferred to take the survey online. 

  • Total responses = 942 (338 paper)

  • Participation Rate = 19%
